Johanna Kane, MA, ATR-BC, LPC, NCC
I am a board certified art therapist, a licensed professional counselor and a national certified counselor. I specialize in helping those struggling with eating disorders, mood disorders and survivors of trauma between the ages of 12 and 70. I have been in private practice for 22 years and as of 2022 created Rowan Therapy Practice LLC. I do not accept insurance however I offer receipts that can be applied to your out-of-network behavioral health benefit.
My experience is rooted in previous work as Director of The Light Program in Radnor, Pennsylvania, an intensive outpatient program for men and women with eating disorders and various eating disordered treatment facilities such as The Renfrew Center and Belmont Center for Comprehensive Treatment. I have also worked at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia where I offered art therapy to children diagnosed with cancer and their families during their quest for health.
I have devoted 18 years educating aspiring art therapists at Arcadia University as an adjunct professor and as the Art Therapy Internship Coordinator. I have also had various speaking engagements and presentations across the region. I am an active advocate for art therapy and eating disorder education and awareness.
